The study, published in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, found that trained athletes who took in caffeine pre-exercise burned about 15% more calories for three hours after their work out.

As someone who enjoys coffee as part of their morning routine, incorporating it into your workout is also highly beneficial. It also improves your focus and gives you more energy to work out for longer and stronger.

Heading down to the beach or a local park as the sun is rising is also an incredibly peaceful way to start your day. Away from the hectic and panicked state that most people wake up, when you train yourself to get up earlier than most people allows you to start your day much more peacefully, which will affect your mood accordingly throughout the day.

When you workout in the early morning, you will burn more calories throughout the day than you would otherwise, you will feel more energized, and you’ll be more focused and composed when you arrive at your work. The amount of time you’ve been awake already compared to most of your colleagues is much higher. They’ll be yawning and you’ll be fully awake and focused. Most of them would have been in bed 90 minutes before arriving into work whereas you were sweating it out and getting a great workout.
